I would like to find out if it would be possible to get "Scan to Email" functionality into HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 5275 printer? Could it use ePrint mail address to send out the documents? This function would be really useful and am surprised that it is not implemented in the home printer... All needed functionalities I would say are there to make it work...

Hi,
Thanks for using the HP Support Community.
Think you can download the apps for Scan to Email.
Web services need to be enabled,
Check out this reource on how to do that :
HP Officejet Pro 696x / 697x series : Set up & use Scan to Email apps
(different printer but the steps are the same)
Hope that helps!

Thanks for the tip, but unfortunatelly I don't have functionality of installing web apps. my screen on the printer is monochromatic, so I have only fixed in the firware features. I think that to have scan to email function it would need to be implemented in the firmware... It would be great if someone from HP could reply if this function is possible on this printer...

if HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 5275 can't have scan to email function maybe it can have at least scan to server function?
Basically it would be great if I can scan my document and it can be sent somewhere (to email - most preferred solution or to server in home wifi) and not that I need to remember to have app runnning on my laptop when I want to scan.
Anyone can advice?

HI @Guenh
The printer features doesn't include these features.
Might be better off considering a printer that has these features e.g. OfficeJet Pro 6970 series. Else, the only recourse is to use the HP Scan and then email out.
Thanks,
