When I scan to email it used to automatically open my email, now it opens a different email app that I don't recognize.  I use Mozilla Thunderbird.

First thing I would check would be to see what the default app for mail is set for on Windows. It is possible that a recent update reset it to Microsoft mail or outlook. Search for default apps and then set the mail app to Thunderbird.

Thanks for the reply but I already tried that.  I found it that it's trying to use Outlook.  I disabled outlook and tried to scan again.  It said "scan unable to open email app"  I made sure Thunderbird was working and it was.  It used to work fine!
