using the hp smart app tryinng to send an email from the scanner on hp 7301 printer. it ask for a sent from e-mail address and then there is a blank screen. i don't know how to add a sent from address.

Open HP Smart App: Ensure that you have the HP Smart app installed on your computer or mobile device. If not, download and install it from your app store or the HP website.

Connect to Your HP 7301 Printer: Make sure your printer is properly connected to your local network, and your computer or mobile device is connected to the same network.

Select the Scanner Function: Open the HP Smart app and select the scanning function. It may be labeled as "Scan," "Scan to Email," or something similar, depending on the app's interface.

 

Configure Email Settings:

  • The app should prompt you to configure email settings. It will ask for a "sent from" email address, which is the email address that will appear as the sender when you send an email from the scanner. Enter the email address you want to use.
  • If you don't see the option to enter a "sent from" email address or encounter a blank screen, here are some possible troubleshooting steps:
    • Ensure that you are using the latest version of the HP Smart app.
    • Check your internet connection and make sure your printer is connected to the network.
    • Restart the HP Smart app and try again.
    • If the problem persists, you may need to contact HP support for assistance or consult the user manual for your specific printer model for guidance on configuring email settings.

 

Complete the Scan: After you have configured the email settings, proceed with the scanning process as usual. The scanned document or image should be attached to an email from the specified "sent from" email address.
