Digital "Scan to Email"  (not ePrint service)

Product supports Digital Send

Digital Sending Standard FeaturesScan-to E-mail; Fax Archive to E-mail

Scan to Email does require your email address AND your email password.

Has always done so.

What changed?

Possible:

IF either your email service or you have switched to 2-step verification, know that Scan to Email does not support the "2-step" process.

Open your email -

Find and check the security settings

Check whether 2-step verification is set.

If yes,

Assign an Apps password

OR

Remove 2-step verification and set "allow less secure apps".

OR

Use a different email address for for scan to email that does not include "2-step verification".

What?

Yes, "less secure" is less secure - perhaps best to use the Apps Password method.

What else?

If you had set "less secure" method in your email provider's security setting, (in my experience) the email provider might have shut off this setting.  Some email providers really don't like "less secure" and will reset the option when you are not looking.  "Less secure" (in so much that I am aware) can be reset to be active (again).

What else?

Use the Embedded Web Server (EWS) to view / configure your printer.

Reminder:  EWS cannot edit your email security / 2-step setup.

Example

Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Scan > Scan to Email >  Settings / Scan to Email Setup

Example

NOTE:

The example shows a newer printer model.

Your printer may not look / behave in exactly the same way
