I am trying to scan to email and it is asking for the SMTP which I cannot find. I have googled the problem and see others have the same issue. Surely it shouldn’t be this difficult? Where do I locate this number?

Hi,
This is the address of the SMTP server of your email service provider.
Which email account do you use? (e.g. @gmail.com, @hotmail.com, etc.)
Please clarify the information above and I will try to locate your server details if I can, this is something the email service provider can surely provide you.

No,
You would need your mail SMTP server details, to allow the printer to connect to your mail server.
Here are Apple's iCloud server details from Apple, see the 'SMTP information for the outgoing mail server' section:
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202304
I would assume you will need to generate an app-specific password and use it for the printer to connect, as detailed under the same section.
