I have set up the printer successfully and then set up Scanning through the 123.hp app.  The test runs successfully but then when I try to scan from the printer I get the error message "Cannot write to \\computer\share.  folder is read-only, has the wrong permissions, or is no longer available."  Yet I can copy files from other computers into this folder without any problems.  I tried creating a completely different folder with the same results.  Any ideas?

Hi,

This occurs due to an issue with the latest High Sieera update.

Reducing the scan resolution to 75 dpi should bypass the error and successfully scan to a shared folder, or else another scan method can be used, such as scanning to email or scanning with the HP Easy Scan software.

Hope that may help,

Shlomi

Tried this but it didn't work.  Now it doesn't even connect to the shared folder.  Also, the printer crashed and rebooted the second time I tried the scan.  Any thoughts?
