Hello @PdR1977, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the HP Officejet Pro 6970 printer.

We appreciate the opportunity to assist you and are glad we could help work toward a resolution. We hope our support has been valuable.

To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please try a few troubleshooting steps provided below so that I can assist you further?

  • Power Cycle Network Devices:
Turn off the printer, computer, and modem/router, and unplug them from the power source. Wait for about 3 minutes. Then plug the modem/router back in first. Once the internet lights stabilize, power on the printer and computer.

  • Re-enable Web Services:
Print a network configuration page to obtain the printer’s IP address. Enter this IP address into a web browser to access the Embedded Web Server (EWS). Navigate to Web Services, turn it Off, and then turn it on again to refresh the connection.

  • Reset Network Settings:
If the issue persists, restore the printer’s network defaults from the control panel. Reconnect the printer to the network and set up the Scan to Email profile again.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
