Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP (64-bit)

My scanner only offers me the option to scan to jpg, png and other picture files, but not to pdf.  Wht am I missing please?

Key in your printer model, Operating System and download & install the FULL feature software.

Hello,

The link is not working; do you have another one? I also need to add the PDF option when scanning, as for now it is only in JPEG, BMP, TIF and PNG. Thanks!

What's your printer model?

 

Can you try this Scan software and see if it works:

 

HP Scan Extended

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

Let us know if that works.

Thanks, I executed it as "repair" and it went well but no improvement on my Photosmart C4180... still the pdf not offered in the scan options. Probably too old printer...

Hi again, I am sorry I realized I must open the "HP Scan extended"! now it works! I believed it was an extension to my scanner to use with the same window. Thank you very much for your time and help!
