Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.
HP Recommended
  • PC can't connect via wireless?
  • Can print but not scan?
  • Want to scan from tablet?
  • Want to scan from a wireless device without installing all the HP printer software?

...If you answered Yes to any of these questions, then this post might just be what you are looking for.

If your printer supports wireless direct and has its own embedded web server (Most HP wireless printers do nowadays), then you can use this really cool trick to scan from your printer. Might work similar on Mopria..haven't tested.

1) From the printer's front panel, make sure Wireless Direct is enabled. To do so, press the Wireless Direct icon on the control panel screen and look at the screen to see if it is enabled. Enable it if it is not already on. The icon looks like...

2) Once Wireless Direct is enabled, connect to your printer from any tablet or computer that has wireless (cannot do this from a cell phone because mobile view is missing a lot of settings). Connect to it like you would connect to any wireless Internet connection. For example, for an iPad - you would go into Settings, Wireless and Choose a network. Choose the wireless network that your printer is emmitting... something like "HP-Print-C6-OfficeJet...".

3) Now that you are connected, open your Internet browser (Safari from an iPad) and type "192.168.223.1" into the URL and a web site will open that comes form your printer... pretty cool.

4) The first time you access the EWS, you probably need to enable Webscan and to do this, you need to go into an admin view. You only need to do this once. From the website, click Settings, and then Administrator Settings and answer the security prompts to get to the list of settings that require administrator view. Will say that changes have updated successfully when you go into Admin view.

5) Once there, select Webscan and click Apply.

6) Now the fun part... click Scan from the menu and then click Webscan under Scan to computer.

7) Adjust any scan settings you want, click Start Scan and then save/store the image using your browser. For example, in Firefox and Windows, you just right-click the picture and select Save as to save it wherever you want.

 * Another cool tip - you can save this web page in your favorites or as a shortcut to quickly scan something. You don't have to go through all this again...just make a connection to your printer's wireless direct connection and go to the page.

Hope this helps folks out there.  If it helped, show the luv by clicking the thumbs up button down and to the right.

I enable this feature (WebScan) in Hp m775dn web Service.

But in the scan section this option ِdoes not exist.

Try using a different browser, such as Chrome.

Thank you for your help

I tested the different browsers, but with surprise there is still a problem.

Except theWebScan,

Is it possible to be send the Scan command from pc to printer (m775dn) in network or Usb Connect?

Wow.. the m775dn is an enterprise printer. That's an extremely nice printer. I replied thinking it was a consumer model, ... I apologize for that.

This printer is designed for offices, where scans are sent to various people in the office using email addresses or network folders. We actually have similar HP printers in the office where I work.

I think the best method for you, if you just want to scan and send the file without dealing with a network, is to send the scans to a USB storage device - a thumb drive.

1. Enable retrieve from USB from the general setting menu.

2. Insert a USB thumb drive in the Easyacess USB slot - to the left side of the control panel.

3. Put whatever you want to scan on the glass.

4. On the printer control panel...scroll down and then touch Save to USB.

5. Enter your password if you need a password.

6. Give your new scan creation a name and select the file type... and then touch the green start button in upper left to start your scan.

Here is the User Guide that has a section on how to Scan: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03293116 if youhave more questions.
