Disgusted by the app update, I can't use the scan function in my work office printers without account sign in.

I have the same question. I've used scan for years, even with the newly formatted screen in Smart. Why, today, does it require sign-in? It recognizes my printer, shows me the status, so why can't I do a scan from there like I always did before?
