Hi! How I can scan with my HP LaserJet M140we Laser A4 600 x 600 DPI 20 ppm Wi-Fi?

If I open HP Smart and select "scan", it doesn't work and I read a message: Scan is not available.

Someone could help me please?

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
  • Did you make any changes to your printer? 
  • Are you able to scan from other devices or from the printer scanner bed? 

Follow the steps below to resolve scanning problems using the HP Print and Scan Doctor

  1. Run HPPSdr.exe from the download location on your computer.
  2. Once HP Print and Scan Doctor is open, click Start, and then choose your printer.
    • If your printer is not listed, turn it on and click Retry.
    • If there is a connection problem, follow the instructions in the tool.
  3. Click Fix Scanning.
