I have to scan a photo and send in format JPEG, JPG or PNG, but my Desktop 2700 all in one does not seem to offer this possibility. Can anyone suggest a way of doing this, please?

Hi @SAS66,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP DeskJet 2710e All-In-One Printer doesn't directly provide the option to scan and save in JPEG, JPG, or PNG format, you can still achieve this by using the HP Smart app or the HP Scan software on your computer. Here's a general guide on how to do this.
Using HP Smart App:
Install HP Smart App:
- Make sure you have the HP Smart app installed on your computer. If you don't have it, you can download it from the official HP website.
Open HP Smart App:
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer.
Select Scan:
- Look for the option to scan within the HP Smart app. It may be labeled as "Scan" or have a scanner icon.
Configure Scan Settings:
- Set the scan settings according to your preferences, such as color mode and resolution.
Choose File Format:
- While scanning, there should be an option to choose the file format. Select JPEG, JPG, or PNG.
Save the Scan:
- Once the scan is complete, save the scanned document/photo in the desired format.
Using HP Scan Software (Windows):
Install HP Full Feature Software:
- Make sure you have the full-feature HP software installed on your computer. You can download it from the official HP website.
Open HP Scan:
- Open the HP Scan software on your computer.
Configure Scan Settings:
- Set the scan settings according to your preferences.
Choose File Format:
- Look for an option to choose the file format (JPEG, JPG, or PNG).
Save the Scan:
- Once the scan is complete, save the scanned document/photo in the desired format.
Using HP Scan Software (Mac):
Use Preview App:
- On a Mac, you can often use the Preview app to scan documents or photos. Open Preview and choose "Import from Scanner" or a similar option.
Configure Settings:
- Configure the scan settings in Preview, including color mode and resolution.
Choose File Format:
- Look for an option to choose the file format (JPEG, JPG, or PNG).
Save the Scan:
- Once the scan is complete, save the scanned document/photo in the desired format.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
