Currently using an HP ScanJet Enterprise Flow N7000 with firmware .80.
The scanner had been working with smtp.office365.com port 587 to send scanned docs.
Recently this scanner has stopped being able to connect to smtp.office365.com when scanning the scanner generates a message on the display "The connection to the SMTP server was lost, check the server settings and try again. Or invalid email address, verify and input the email address again"
We have validated that the settings are correct and the login are correct and we can log into O365 with the credentials.
We also converted this scanner to use our mailgun SMTP relay which we know are working settings as we are using the Mailgun settings on our Xerox Altalink. And with Mailgun we get the same error message on the scanner.
I would note that we had used both these SMTP connection processes on the Scanjet successfully in April 2024 (last month) we only settle don using Office365 rather than mailgun to keep the e-mail flowing through our organization.
I'm really trying to find out if/whether the ScanJet should be written off as no longer supporting the newer e-mail systems or if there is something else I need to know.
Me and my team have pulled our hair out trying to figure out how this resolved and looking for any help in pointing us in a direction. The scanner works flawlessly otherwise.
