I have seen answers for this, however for Windows 10 and I have Windows 7.

 

I am not able to scan to the computer. And Not sure what else to do. I already ran the Scan Doc and when I do scan, well it's nothing but lines, but still the message pops up ScanToPCActivationApp - Scan to computer is disabled.

 

When I open up the HP scan, it shows it as enabled. I am at a lost here! Please help!Scan.PNGscan1.PNGScan2.PNG

Hi,

What happens when you perform a color copy from the printer?

 

From your screenshot, I wouldn't be surprised if this is a hardware failure of the scanner, which of course may affect the scanning software due to interacting with the hardware.

 

Assuming the same issue occurs when copying, try unplugging the printer power and then connect it to another wall socket.

Be sure not to use any surge protectors, power splitters, etc while testing to deny any possible cause.

 

If the same results occur then, I afraid it will require servicing the printer.

I have no other outlet that is close by, but I may just need a new printer. I removed everything from my computer and installed the printer software on my husbands laptop, which is Windows 10 and it's the same issue. So it has to be the printer. Since I don't need to scan as often, I can due with my cell phone and when the time is ready, I will be looking at replacing everything. Thank you for your help!
