My HP Scanjet 8250 with 9936A ADF Paper Jams when double-sided scanning. The scanner functions properly when flatbed scanning, and the ADF works for single-sided paper.

When ADF double-sided scanning, the ADF feeds a single sheet from the document tray, scans the top side, and places it into the document holder. Then it pulls the paper partly back into the ADF, the paper stops, a couple of 5 or so fast clicks are heard twice, and the paper has jammed inside the ADF. The back edge of the paper sticks out about 2 inches from the ADF paper output tray feed, and the paper front edge is stuck under the slide scanning holder.

I followed the "HP Scanjet 8200 Series - Troubleshooting the HP Scanjet 8200 Series" instructions, and everything worked as expected except for the double-sided ADF process, which displayed ADF Paper Jam and functioned as described above.

I don't know what the normal double-sided paper path should be, but I expect that a sensor or roller is malfunctioning, causing the 5 fast clicks. I've removed any pieces of paper inside the ADF.

Is there a Service Manual download available online for the 9936A ADF, or another document or procedure that would help me find and fix the issue?
