Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Scanjet 8300
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a Scanjet 8300 scanner that has worked perfectly for 10 years. Yesterday, I received a flash player notification saying that I need to uninstall Flash Player because it was not being used and was obsolete. So like an idiot, I did. Today I tried to start the HP Solution Center to scan some docs and a different screen came up that looked like a Facebook F??? I called HP and they honestly told me to trash it and buy another one. I would if there were other problems with it but like I said it worked perfectly. Does anyone know a work around? Any help will be appreciated. I even tried to download flash layer again. Too many problems and you don't know if they are real download sites.

Thanks

Same thing happened to me last night, but I don't recall uninstalling flashplayer. Anyway, I have an old version of Win10 1709 (currently have 20H2) with all the stuff needed for the scanner, so I slipped that HDD into my laptop, put it in airplane mode just in case Adobe uninstalled the flashplayer, and I was able to make my scans. Trash it and buy a new one? Does anyone make a stand-alone flatbed scanner, or are they all combination scanner, fax, coffee maker and dishwasher now?
