Original scanning software would allow me to scan to a PDF. I have a new computer and have downloaded the latest drivers for this scanner. Current software allows me to choose document, but can only scan to 4 picture formats. How do I scan to a PDF? Is there a 3rd party scanner software available?

Hi,
generally the scanner is not supported on Windows 11 and no software is provided to the OS, only basic functionality is provided by the OS.
You may try using the HP Scan Extended app:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi
Also, try the Scan app from the Microsoft Store and check if that may work:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/windows-scan/9wzdncrfj3pv
If the same persists, I would also suggest trying the 3rd party NAPS2 scanning application:
Shlomi

I did added the Microsoft Scan option which originally the link was not included in my post.
For the black and white scanning, doesn't the Image setting take a place by selecting Black and White or Grayscale?
What exact behavior occur when you try scanning with such settings?
