We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Scanjet G3010
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

For a number of years, I have been using an HP Scanjet G3010 for scanning documents, photographic prints and 35mm colour transparencies. This is a very versatile device with a wide range of outputs including pdfs, rich text, Word from OCR, copies and several other types. This was controlled via the HP Solution Center on our PC. Now I have discovered that you no longer support this app and I have had to replace it with HP Scan and Capture. This app appears to provide a much more restricted choice of output, apparently only jpg or pdf as far as I can discover and there appears to be no OCR facility. It seems a shame that a replacement app does a lesser job than its predecessor. Am I missing something? Please let me know how I can overcome this apparent deficiency.

I am not personally familiar with the ScanJet series.

That said, there might be hope...

It may help other users with the same problem. Simply, I pressed the Negative to File button in front of the scanner and voila..the lamp turned on and the "HP Scanning" interface was launched. It seems this, -dll?- is not used by HP Scan Extended or HP Scan and Capture.
