Hi, we have client who are using hp scanjet pro N4600 fnw1, is it common that everytime when i turn off and on the scanner, it takes a little while for the scanner app to detect the scanner? because it usually takes at least 5 mins of more for the scanning app to detect the scanner otherwise it will show my scanner not found

I have never figured out why people insist on using apps to scan when the product supports direct scanning to a network or shared folder. So much faster, no waiting for apps or having to launch the app first and no worries about conflicts with firewalls or security software. Walkup, load document, press scan. How much easier can it get?
