Can the M281fdw printer scan at 600ppi?  If so, how do I change the settings?

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

Can you download and install the FULL featured printer software from HP for your operating system:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-color-laserjet-pro-m280-m281-multifunction-print...

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

Scanning at 600ppi is only available on flatbed.  Start HP Scan,  Select Save as JPEG, ensure source is "Flatbed", go to "More" and under "Image" the Resolution, you can select 600 ppi.

This example shows you how it's done with the HP Scan.

Hope that helps.

Thank you for your reply.  I will download and try.  But it sounds like the 600dpi will not apply to pdf files?

Hi @GjA52

Yes, 600dpi only applies to JPEG.

Thanks
