Product: HP Envy 7640
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Regardless if I just save a scan in PDF or email PDF from my Scanner software the files are in a Web HTML format.  Thus, when open the file, it takes you to default web browser.  I wish to have the files saved in the PDF format on my Documents file.

Hi,

 

Please right click PDF files and select open with Adobe Reader. To set Adobe Reader as default to open pdf files, please try

 

(a) Right click any pdf file,

(b) Select Properties,

(c) Click Change and select Adobe Reader,

(d) Click Apply

I discovered I did not have Adobe Reader on my system...once I downloaded it, all the Web Files were auto changed to PDF.  Thanks so much for the help...good job!
