Scanned documents to large to email

I have a MFPM281fdw. For most of the time I owned it, I had no problem with size of scanned documents but my machine is now producing scanned documents to send via email   Whereas I can receive, and then send, large documents in pdf.  When I scan using the 281fdw, even a 12 page document can be too large for email.  I thought I saw that some fix was developed but I cannot find it and, since I am out of warranty, I can only seem to get help via a this forum or a "virtual assistant" (which I found to be pretty much unhelpful.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.

I see that you are facing an issue with your Printer.

Use the Very Low (smaller file) option to scan and send a large document using a small file size while preserving text quality.

You have to access the printer control panel.

To scan and send a large document via email using a smaller file size and preserve text quality, change the Resolution settings from the control panel.

1. On the printer control panel, select Scan.

2. Select Scan to Email.

3. Select Options.

4. Select File Type and Resolution.

5. Select Quality and File Size.

6. Select Very Low (smaller file).

7. To scan the document and send it via email, select Send.
