My scanned documents are saved to my Apple computer but when I email or remote transfer the file, the data can't be read by the recipients.  Their file looks like the line length was limited to one inch so all the characters are crammed over each other on each line.  Is there some option when I'm scanning the file to prevent this?  I am using letter size when I scan.

Hi@RelyC58, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

We HP recommend HP smart app to scan files and may transfer the options and change formate based on the requirement.

 

When attempting to save your scan as a PDF file with HP Scan, the program quits and an HP Scan quit unexpectedly message displays.

To resolve the issue, download the HP Easy Scan App from the App Store.
