Every time I try to scan something it shows up so faintly that it’s barely visible. It’s still printing fine and making copies normally. New ink cartridges. I have done a factory reset, removed the printer and then re-added it to my hp smart app on my phone and on my computer and I made a copy of something with the scanner open and the bulb is glowing and moving like it’s supposed to. I also tried playing with the brightness and contrast settings when scanning but it just makes it blurry and unreadable when I do that. I’m not sure what else to try. Please help! Thanks!

I understand the scan quality is not satisfactory.

 

Do you have the same issue while scanning from the computer and the phone?

 

Use the full-feature printer driver to scan and check if this helps.

Click here to download the HP Full-feature driver.

Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and follow the on-screen instructions.

Try scanning using this HP utility. Do not use the HP Smart app.
