I was given this printer from work and hooked it up to my Mac mini at home. I am running OS Sequoia 15.5. When I first got it running I was getting a scan error 13, now I'm getting scan error 17. I've done the turning off/on, it's plugged into the wall, etc. I can print test pages out, but if I actually send a print job it won't print. If someone can't tell me how to fix this, is there a way to just bypass or disconnect the scan option so I can use the printer?

Hi @MitziH61
Scan error 17 means that internal hardware is having a failure and you may need to take the printer to some Local Tech Repair shop or if the printer is still with warranty ask for HP Support to repair.
About the question if there is some workaround to disable the scan option I don´t know, but that also need some technician to check on the internal hardware.

Thank you for the links. I couldn’t find the error codes anywhere. I maybe screwed huh? My husband went by Best Buy and they told him to call the online Geek number, I guess I’ll do that before hauling it up there because it weighs a ton. Thank you for your help.
