Product: OfficeJet 8025
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

I am having enormous difficulty scanning on my OfficeJet 8025. I can only scan through the HP Smart app on my phone, not directly through the printer. I have MacOS.  I am looking for a new printer with better/easier scanning capability. My questions are:

 

1. Which is better: the OfficeJet Pro 8025 or the OfficeJet Pro 9015? 

2. Is there a way to scan using the PRINTER and not the APP?

Hi,

Both provide a similar application-based scan interface, but the 9015 have the advantage of Digital Filing, which allows scanning directly to a Network Folder or Email without involving any software.

 

Generally, the 9010 printer is better also considering its print speed, scan speed, and the option to scan both sides, which the 8025 lacks.
