HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477fnw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm about to Office Space this M477fnw....
My issue is related to Scanning documents Only! Printer still prints just fine.
I moved recently. When I set up the printer back up, I did not have WiFi. Therefore, I direct connected via USB-A. All worked well for a couple months.
I've historically used HP CLJM477 Scan to handling scanning needs. A month ago, it started giving me an error message....
"Scanner communication cannot be established. Ensure your product is powered on, check the connection, and ensure your network is functioning properly" etc etc. Funny part, I know it talks to the printer as I can here it respond when the SCAN button is pressed. It will spool up, start the scan, and then error out. If I try to start the scan over, the error is instant.
I've done at least the following. I've probably forgotten to document something, but this pretty much covers it.
- Reboot computer & printer (countless times)
- Disconnect A/C power at the printer and waited >60 seconds
- Disconnect/Reconnect Printer Cable
- Tried a Different Cable
- Updated Printer Firmware
- Deleted/Reinstalled the PCL6 Printer Driver package
- Windows Updates (which required back up partition size adjustment to complete) I'm up-to-date now.
-- There was a special HP Windows Update that complete too.
- Loaded HP Smart App and tried. (It shows online, but won't scan)
- Performed USB reset according to this site: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_2275901-2074064-16
