Hi @Wallybeaver,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP ENVY 5660 e-All-in-One Printer scanner has disappeared or is not being recognized on your Windows 10 system, you can try the following troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:

Check Physical Connections: Ensure that the USB cable or any other connection between your computer and the printer is secure. If you are using a wireless connection, make sure the printer is connected to the same network as your computer.

Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues.

Restart Your Computer: Reboot your computer to refresh the system and ensure that any temporary glitches are resolved.

HP Print and Scan Doctor: HP provides a diagnostic tool called "HP Print and Scan Doctor" that can help identify and fix printing and scanning issues. Download and run this tool from the official HP website.

Check Device Manager: Right-click on the Start menu, select "Device Manager," and look for the printer/scanner under the "Imaging devices" or "Print queues" category. If you see any issues (like a yellow triangle), try updating the driver or reinstalling it.

Update Drivers: Ensure that you have the latest drivers installed for your printer. Visit the HP website, search for your printer model, and download the latest drivers for Windows 10.

Windows Troubleshooter: Run the built-in Windows troubleshooter for hardware and devices. Right-click on the Start menu, go to "Settings," then "Update & Security," and select "Troubleshoot." Run the troubleshooter for hardware and devices.

Reinstall the Printer: Uninstall the printer software from your computer, restart it, and then reinstall the printer using the latest drivers from the HP website.

Check for Windows Updates: Make sure your Windows 10 system is up to date. Sometimes, updates can include fixes for hardware compatibility issues.

Firewall/Antivirus Settings: Check your firewall or antivirus software settings to ensure that they are not blocking the communication between your computer and the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
