Scanner function not working on OfficeJet Pro

Hello! My OfficeJet Pro 9010 is connected to my desktop and I am able to print. However, I am unable to use the scan functions.

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

Can download and install HP Smart app from Microsoft Store for scanning purpose.

I had the same problem with my HP 7855 printer that is older than yours.

You can go online HP Support find your HP Office Jet Pro 9010 and look under software and drivers for: HP Universal Scan - Basic Feature Software and Driver, 63.5.6303, 116.2 MB, Apr 17, 2025.

You can download click on and install and you should have your Scan software back. Just FYI there is one listed as

"Full Feature' a larger download and I saw that on mine too but I decided to go with the other one not the Full Feature one and it ended up being the exact same Scan software that came with my printer. I am glad to have it back because, HP Smart 'app has no where near the options in scanning,  plus HP Smart it is web based so anything you scan may end up on the Internet? Good Luck.
