When I try to scan, I get a message saying "No scanners were detected, etc". It used to work but has recently just stopped

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you. 
Since your HP ENVY 6010 All-in-One printer was functioning properly before and is now displaying "No scanners were detected," the issue may stem from a Windows update, a driver problem, or a glitch in the HP Smart app. Let's go through some troubleshooting steps:

Power Cycle Everything

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for 60 seconds.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Check Printer Connection

  • If you're using a USB connection, disconnect and reconnect it. Try a different port if possible.
  • For Wi-Fi connections, ensure the printer is connected to the same network as your computer.
  • Print a Wireless Network Test Report from the printer control panel by pressing the Information button and the Wireless button simultaneously to verify the connection.

Reinstall the Scanner Driver

  • Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  • Expand Imaging Devices or Printers.
  • Right-click on the scanner entry (if it appears) and select Uninstall device.
  • Navigate to Control Panel > Programs and uninstall any HP-related printer software.
  • Restart your PC.

Install Latest Drivers & HP Smart

  • Download and install the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store.
  • Alternatively, visit the HP ENVY 6010 support page to download the Full Software Solution for Windows 11.

Use Windows Scan App to Test

  • Open the Windows Scan app (install it from the Microsoft Store if necessary).
  • Check if the scanner is recognized there.

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • Download it from here
  • Run the tool and select your printer.
  • Click on Fix Scanning if prompted.
