Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.
HP Recommended

Hello HP Support Team,

My HP Envy 6032 All-in-One printer is exhibiting the following issue:

  • When scanning via macOS System Preferences or Preview, the scan stops after the first page.

  • The scanner no longer responds; the light stays solid blue, and the mechanism does not start.

  • I have already performed the following steps:

    • Disabled sleep mode via the printer’s web interface

    • Performed a hard reset of the printer

    • Tested scanning via Preview, System Preferences, and HP Smart

    • Verified all drivers on macOS

Result: The scanner does not respond at all; page 1 cannot be scanned.

This corresponds to a known series issue with HP Envy 6000/6030/6032 devices.
I therefore request a replacement of the device.

Model: HP Envy 6032
Serial Number: #[edited]

Thank you very much for your support!

Best regards,

Hi @Anso_26,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Envy 6032 All-in-One printer is failing to scan beyond the first page, with the light staying solid blue and the mechanism not starting. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Confirm Scanner Mode

The Envy 6032 supports both flatbed and ADF (if available).

If scanning multiple pages, ensure you are using the correct mode (flatbed scans only one page at a time).

Test a Single-Page Flatbed Scan

Place one page on the glass and scan using HP Smart.

If this works, the issue is with multi-page handling rather than the scanner itself.

Update HP Smart App and macOS

Ensure HP Smart is the latest version from the App Store.

Install any pending macOS updates, as scanning relies on system drivers.

Reset Printing System on macOS

Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.

Right-click in the printer list and choose Reset Printing System, then re-add the Envy 6032.

Check Scanner Firmware

From the printer’s control panel or HP Smart, check for firmware updates.

Updates can fix scanner stalls and communication errors.

Try Alternate Scan Path

Use HP Smart to scan directly to PDF or JPEG.

If Preview/System Preferences fail but HP Smart works, the issue is macOS integration.

Inspect Scanner Hardware

Lift the lid and check the scanner bar for obstructions or dirt.

A blocked sensor can cause the light to stay on without movement.

I hope this helps.
