Scanner Problem.

Hello, 

 

Kindly check if there is a error code like 12 or 20 mentioned along with the Scanner Error message.

 

Meanwhile you may try the below steps..

While the printer is ON, unplug the power cord from back of the printer.

Wait for 60 seconds.

Plug in the power cord to printer. If printer does not power on automatically, then press the ON button to do so.

Open the scan lid and check if the scan carriage moves across the scan bed and is lit. If the scan carriage gets stuck or not lit, then it could be a scanner module failure (hardware) issue.
