Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

HP 4675
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I am not able scan using the touchscreen of HP 4675. However the scanner is working fine if scanned through my laptop. Every time I scan usiing the touchscreen, it says Connecting --> Scanning --> Cancelling scan. The device fails to scan.

I have used Scan doctor from HP, uninstalled the software and installed it again, however the issue persists. I am trying hard to resolve the issue since last 48 hours without any success. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Moreover the Cancelling Scan message comes only when I try to save the document as .pdf from the touch screen. However if I try to save the document as an image from touchscreen or even as .pdf if scanned from the laptop software, it works perfectly fine.

I have also noticed 2 weird patterns now.

1. This issue does not crop up if I scan the document with the scanner lid open, that is, with the document placed on the glass and the top lid open.

2. This cancelling scan issue comes up only for one particular document and nothing else. That document has a dark grey / blackish background with text written in white font. The source document is does not have great resolution. However that should not stop the scanner from scanning with lid closed as Save as *.pdf.

Also, as the scanner head moves and scans the page length wise, it stops a few times and starts again on its own. The cancel scan message comes just 1-2 inches before the complete page is scanned.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Reset the printer to clear certain error states by calibrating the scanner mechanism, and then check the power source to confirm the printer is getting enough power to operate the scanner.

  1. Press the Power button to turn on the printer, if it is not already on.

  2. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.

  3. Disconnect the power cord from the power source, and then wait 30 seconds.

  4. If you previously connected the power cord to a power strip or multi-plug outlet adapter, reconnect the cord directly to a wall outlet to ensure the printer is getting enough power.

  5. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer, and then turn on the printer.

    • If the error no longer displays, make a test copy to confirm the issue is resolved.

    • If the error still displays, connect the printer power cord to a different wall outlet to determine if the original outlet is causing the issue.

If the issue persists, please perform the remaining steps from this document: https://support.hp.com/my-en/product/hp-deskjet-ink-advantage-4670-all-in-one-printer-series/7317523...
