The scan crops the area and I am not getting the full A4 page

Is the document or page being scanned positioned correctly in the scanner?  Or is it outside the scanned work area?

It is correctly positioned.    The scan is produced with a good 1" margin, cutting off some of the text.

From the HP Envy 5020 icon click on Scan > Scan a document or photo.

Ensure the Scan Size is set as A4 and not as US Letter by any chance.
