I have an HP8630 Pro scanning problem. When I scan or copy from the glass, the results are fine. But when I use the feeder, the result has 2 verticak black lines running from the very top to the very bottom of the page, and light blue vertical lines on the original disappear, and other colors on the original are faded on the print. If I darker the scan/copy, the result is more and darker black vertical lines. Running scan/copy.from the glass with 2-sided originals is extreemly less efficient than using the feeder.

After much runaround and waste of time, I received the following PM from TrinitySoMe:
Hi, Thank you for that information. I am happy to assist. While researching the unit I see that it is out of warranty by 543 days. At this time, HP is limited to the out of warranty options for the unit at this time. That being said, I am happy to offer a set of free in with a new purchase of an ENVY retail printer. All you have to do to accept this offer is reply to the message with the new serial number. Please let me know how you would like to proceed. I replied that I knew the printer was out of warranty and that I was trying to find out if it was a defective printer or a driver problem. I had never tried to scan with the printer and it's clear to me the device was defective out of the box. I won't buy another HP, even with a "set of free in".
