HP ENVY 4520 All-in-One Printer

My printer/scanner is only scanning blank pages. Just seconds before that, I had scanned a document with no problem. Why is this happening and what do I do for it? I use my scanner daily for important documents, so not having it is causing me major problems, and I am asking for a prompt response.

Hello,

I have to ask: are all these instructions related to the scanning problem with the printer? The printer is still printing normally without a problem, but the scanner problem is very hard to understand. I had just scanned one side of a document with no problem, but when I turned it over seconds later, then I was getting a blank white page and nothing else. I want to know because you gave me quite a few steps to follow, and before I follow all of them, I want to be sure that it will cure the scanner problem because the regular printing functions are operating with no problem at all. Please answer so I can know what steps to take.

Hello,

Thank you for replying. Actually, my question was specifically about scanning, not printing. My printer is still printing with no problem. Someone did post something about what to do about possible scanning problems, so I followed the instructions to the letter, and that was what was needed. Now my printer prints and scans with no problem at all.

Because at the time, I had some problems with Adobe because I am transitioning to a replacement laptop, but after I called them and talked with Support, that problem was resolved. Resolving that problem, however, was not the solution. The instructions that I received from a discussion on HP Community did provide the needed instructions and as I said, it's functioning with no problems now.
