Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 All-in-One Printer

My printer has been installed for years. Last week, it stopped recognizing my Macbook Air. Now I cannot scan on my wireless printer and I cannot install the scanner. I deleted and re-installed my printer and it works fine, but the scanner is not functioning....what happened? I need this for my job
