Product: HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M281cdw
Operating System: macOS 11.0 Big Sur
I've had intermittent wireless scanning problems since day 1. It was fixed by using the HP Smart app. (13.6.0). Selecting "Scan" used to simply open the printer's scan menu.<== Worked perfectly 🙂
Now selecting "Scan" yields a spinning blue circle then asks me to sign into my HP account.
"Find the open browser window, then sign in to your HP account.
Note: The window might be behind another open browser or minimized" -<=== big giant FAIL 😞
I've been through this before - no other macBook utility worked for scanning except this HP Smart app. Now this is broken.
Help??
(p.s. I'm really annoyed that the app requires logging into HP.)
