Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Asus
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP Laser Jet Pro MFP M277dw which has worked well for years.  Scanner seems to work well.

Issue:  While I can save single page PDF's, when saving multiple page scans in PDF the scanner software seems to close quickly.  The resultant file is corrupted and will not open.  There are no error or warning flags. This began a day or so ago.   I completely removed all HP and driver software and reloaded it.  All other printer and scanning functions work well.  I'm considering dumping and reloading all my Adobe software but thought I would ask HP's very astute members.

Thank you in advance,

Bill

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are unable to save multiple scanned pages.

This seems to be a driver issue, follow these steps to fix the issue.

Perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer-related software.

  • In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
  • Select your HP printer.
  • Select Uninstall.
  • In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
  • In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
  • Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
  • Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
  • Click on Drivers tab.
  • Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
  • Select OK.
  • Remove all instances of the same.
  • Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
  • Close Devices and Printers.
  • Restart the PC again.

Download and install printer full feature driver

Click here to download the driver.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi Sandy,

Thank you for responding.  I did exactly as you suggest in your post.  Including the reboot after offloading all HP software and drivers.  I uploaded the latest software and drivers from the HP website to accomplish this.  All is as before.  All functions operate well including saving multiple scanned JPG pages.  The only thing that continues to trouble me is that the scan function will not save multiple PDF pages.  It looks like the software closes early and I end up with a corrupted PDF file (if it saves a file at all).  The software is able to save a single page PDF before it closes.  This whole thing is really odd in that the problem "just started" after years of successful operation.

Thank you again for your help.

Best,

Bill

This might require remote access to your computer to fix the issue.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers.
