Trying to scan photos to archive and could only find a dpi setting that went up to 300 for this printer. My previous HP printer which died went up to 1200 dpi. What is the maximum dpi this printer will scan at? and How do I find that setting?

Hi,
Please make sure the scan source is set to Flatbed Glass and not to Automatic Document Feeder (If Loaded).
The flatbed glass supports up to 1200 dpi, while the ADF only supports up to 300 dpi.

This was the solution. I was using the software from my PC not the printer screen. But I selected from the menu after pulling up scan, scan JPEG. Which does not give you an option of selecting from flatbed. When I clicked on Everyday Scan it did give me the option to select from flatbed. After digging through menus finally found the DPI setting. Thanks. I do think this process should have been simpler in the software, it should have given me the flatbed option under any scan choice on the menu.
