Hi @Rejilal ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're facing scanning issues with your HP LaserJet 1530 multifunction printer on a Windows 10 (64-bit) system, you can follow these steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem:

Check Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your computer. Use a USB cable or make sure it's connected to the network if it's a network printer.
  • Ensure that the printer is turned on.

HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor utility. It can automatically diagnose and fix scanning issues. You can download it from the official HP website.

HP Software Update:

  • Ensure that your HP printer software is up to date. Visit the official HP support website and download the latest software and drivers for your printer model.

Reinstall HP Software:

  • Uninstall the existing HP printer software from your computer.
  • Disconnect the printer from the computer.
  • Reboot your computer.
  • Reinstall the latest version of the HP printer software, following the instructions provided by HP.

Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) Service:

  • Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.
  • Type services.msc and press Enter.
  • Locate the "Windows Image Acquisition (WIA)" service.
  • Ensure that the service is running. If not, right-click on it, select "Start," and set the startup type to "Automatic."

HP Scan App:

  • Search for "HP Scan" or "HP Smart" in the Windows search bar and open the HP Scan app if available.
  • Use the app to initiate a scan and see if it works.

Windows Fax and Scan:

  • Open the Windows Fax and Scan utility (you can search for it in the Start menu).
  • Try scanning a document using this built-in Windows utility.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Make sure your Windows 10 operating system is up to date. Install any pending updates and restart your computer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
