I keep getting a pop-up window telling me that the scan is off-line and that the connection is lost ???

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

 

That could be coming from the PC trying to if the printer is online for the "Scan to Computer" feature.  YOu can turn it off.

 

Check out this resource (turn off by unchecking)
