HP ScanJet Pro 2600 f1    System Win 10 64 bit

My old scanner, HP ScanJet Pro 2500 f1, opened immediately and operated flawlessly.  I do not recall exactly but think it used HP Twain.  The new scanner, HP ScanJet 2600 Pro (USB), uses WIA and takes 15 seconds to open and repeatedly asks if I want to save the changes to a shortcut that I did not make.  After using the immediate response with the 2500, the 2600 software is unacceptable.  Is there a way to get the app to open and function appropriately?
