Product: HP Photosmart 7525

I have a HP Photosmart Printer that is suppost to allow me scan directly off of the printer itself via the touch pad.  However, now when I want to scan I have to go into the HP Scan and Capture on my desk top.  Does anyone know why I can't scan from the printer itself.

Hi,

To scan from the printer front panel you must have the HP Full Feature Software installed on your computer, a such will not work with an app solution such as HP Scan and Capture.

 

Please follow the HP Print and Scan Doctor Utility by selecting Fix Scanning, be sure to follow the prompt on screen and install the HP Full Feature Software if suggested by the utility:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/HPPSdr.exe
