Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hi,

I have an OfficeJet 4650 All in one and for a while now my scanner does not work at all.  In addition to it not scanning anything, I also have a message "Scan to computer unavailable".  I tried to enable it but that doesn't seem to work either.

Appreciate anyone helping me getting my scanner to work again.

Thanks,

Sandi

Hi,

Follow below utility by selecting your printer and then fix Scanning, then follow nay steps shown on screen:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/HPPSdr.exe

May it able to resolve the problem automatically?

If it fails to find a solution, what exact error is identified by the utility?

thank you for your reply.  When I open up the Scan Doctor and it asks me to choose a product and there seems to be 3 of the same printers in there. A network printer, a copy of the network printer (which is set as the default) and another one that has an IP address listed under it  I clicked on the  one with the IP address.  I ran the tool and it says everything came out ok so I did a test scan and it says Unable to Communicate with Scanner, so I click on Fix.  Then it looks like its extracting files but then an error comes up and says "fails to extract cab".  Did the same thing with the Network printer and driver check failed, so I unplugged the printer plugged it back in and restarted the computer.  I finished the test after restart and the same thing came up that it cannot communicate with the scanner.  This happened with all 3 of the printers listed.

Any advice on what to do now?
