HI @Bobbylee8,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To scan a double-sided document using the HP OfficeJet Pro 8025, you can use its automatic document feeder (ADF), which supports duplex scanning. Here's how to do it:
Scanning Double-Sided Documents Using the ADF
Prepare the Document:
- Make sure your double-sided document is properly aligned and free from any staples or paper clips.
Load the Document:
- Place your double-sided document in the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF). Ensure that the document is placed face up and the top edge is aligned with the ADF’s guides.
Open HP Smart or HP Scan Software:
- On your computer, open the HP Smart app or HP Scan software. If you haven't installed these yet, you can download them from the HP Support website.
Select the Scan Option:
- In the HP Smart app or HP Scan software, select the option to scan a document. This option might be labeled as "Scan" or "Document Scan".
Configure Scan Settings:
Look for an option related to duplex scanning or double-sided scanning. This might be listed under "Settings" or "Advanced Settings".
Enable the option for "Double-Sided" or "Duplex" scanning. Ensure that your scan settings are set to "Document" or "PDF" if you want to create a multi-page document.
Start the Scan:
- Click on "Scan" or "Start". The printer will automatically scan both sides of each page in the document.
Review and Save:
- Once the scanning process is complete, review the scanned document to ensure both sides were captured correctly. Save or export the file as needed.
Scanning Double-Sided Documents Using the Flatbed Scanner
If you need to use the flatbed scanner for some reason, here's an alternative method:
Scan the First Side:
- Place the first page of your document face down on the flatbed scanner glass.
- Open the HP Smart or HP Scan software and scan the first side.
Flip the Document:
- After scanning the first side, flip the document over so that the second side is face down on the flatbed scanner glass.
Scan the Second Side:
- In the HP Smart or HP Scan software, start a new scan to capture the second side of the document.
Combine the Scans:
- Use a PDF editor or document management software to combine the two scanned images into a single multi-page PDF file.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
