Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.
HP Recommended

I have an HP Envy 5000 all in one printer. It is connected to my pc using a USB cable and has worked this way for years.

I've always had to use the scanning feature from the HP app on my pc.

Today it will print fine but the scanning feature no longer works. A few days ago the pc did a windows update.

I've run scan doctor and it can't find a problem. I've updated the firm ware. I've tried using it with the firewall disabled.  I've checked all the right settings are enabled.

When I try to run scan from the HP app I just get an error message on the app on the pc stating no scanner could be detected or the App is not compatible with the scanner.

It was working fine before the windows update and all other features are working in the app.

I hate this printer every time there is a windows update I have problems with it.

If anyone can advise me how to fix this I would be really grateful. Thank you

The only way I could resolve and fix this issue was to reinstate the HP App software using a link from the HP website.

I didn't uninstall the previous app just reinstalled over it.

The scanner is now back working from the app.
