Microsoft Windows 11

When scanning via HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 to my email address I get the error message: Secure connection (SSL or TLS) failed. The instructions I have followed so far do not provide a solution. How can I proceed?

I have an MSN/Outlook email account and it used to work just fine when I would scan to email.  All the instructions that I am finding on-line do not work.  I am wondering if this 4 year old printer is no longer compatible for this option?  I've tried port 587 and port 25.  SMTP server is "smtp-mail.**bleep**"  I have checked Always use secure connection (SSL/TLS), I have checked Validate server certificate, I have selected server requires authentication and entered my user name and password that I use for logging into my email account online and when I send a test message I get the same error as you or incorrect credentials username/password.  Now I am wondering if maybe this product is too old to perform scan to email.
