HP Officejet 4500 Wireless All-in-One Printer - G510n
Microsoft Windows 11

Is there any way, or app that will work with my Officejet G85 and/or my Officejet 4500 Wireless so I can scan to my computer. Neither work scanning since upgrading from W7 to W11.  HP Smart does not work with them, and won't even recognize the G85 - even though windows does.  The G85 is connected via USB

Both of these two models are too old to be recognized by HP Smart. Getting such old printers to work in W11 will be close to mission impossible.

HP Smart does recognise the Officejet 4500 Wireless, but the scan option does not work.

Looks like I'll have to dump both of these printers, and buy again - even though both work fine as printers, I just cannot scan a document back to the PC!

I thought there may be an independent app that would allow me to do so.

This community page is strange in itself, it would not let me sign in using the registered user name that I had created, saying it was already in use!!!  I've had to create a new user name - hope that doesn't happen every time I sign in!  I am the SAME person as the original post!
