I had a couple of HP Laserjet pro all in one models where the scanner no longer worked at all after I upgraded to Windows 11.  I was told repeatedly by HP reps that my printers were no longer supported and that I would need to purchase  new printers.  After I upgraded to Windows 11, both printers worked fine when I printed items but the scanner no longer worked on either printer.  If you  have that problem, which I'm sure you will after you upgrade, don't buy a new printer yet.  I eventually found the HP Smart app where I found that I can use the HP Smart app to scan items and as long as I used the app I have had no issues scanning. I did uninstall the printers before I used the HP Smart app and reinstalled the printers and all seems to work fine.  Try this first before you're told to buy new printers/scanners.  Good luck.

My issue is that my 6 month old HP all in one wont find my laptop so I can't use scan to PC. I have all of the drivers installed as well as the HP printing apps. The printer stays in my home office and I set scans up to be sent back to my laptop that is in another room. I have reinstalled everything with no luck, getting tired of HP demanding a PIN 'for your protection'. It's my home, my laptop and my printer. I don't need all this security.
